Queer Coding Camp 2026 – SME sponsorship
We are looking for IT companies to support the Queer Coding Camp youth camp with at least CHF 1,000 – and in doing so, help young queer people find their place in the tech world. In return, sponsors are prominently featured and linked on our website and in future promotional materials.
Queer Coding Camp
For many queer people, the tech industry still doesn't feel like a place for them. Those who don't fit the default mould rarely feel welcomed, and many talented people are lost before they ever get a foothold. Queer Coding Camp addresses this directly: we bring young LGBTQ+ people together, give them space to take their first steps in programming, and connect them with queer professionals from the industry.
The one-week youth camp takes place in 2026 from 4–10 October at Schlafschloss Sumiswald. 16 participants aged 16 to 21 learn the basics of web and game development, guided by queer programmers as instructors and mentors. The camp is organised by the non-profit Queer Coding Camp association (founded 2021).
Funding
In 2025 the camp ran for the fourth time thanks to LGBTI Youth Fund, Pro Helvetia, Hasler Foundation, and SME sponsors. For 2026 we still welcome support from the IT sector.
